2/6/2024 0 Comments Cheerful memory tad friend![]() From classic oldies like "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina & The Waves to newer feel good hits like "I Don't Want It at All " by Kim Petras, here are 67 happy songs that will immediately put you in a better mood. ![]() We initially thought it might have been an incompatibility on our PS5, but the glitch manifested itself on our base PS4 too. You can switch to an alternate bait view with but this is almost as boring and oddly glitchy, especially in low light conditions. The default view is down your rod and you’ll spend an inordinate amount of time waiting for bites on your bait. In addition, each of the successive locations are gated by your level and your cash reserves. Some of the locations such as Betty Lake and Lake Baikal in Russia also have alternate winter locations, but you’ll need to have unlocked the ability to hack a hole in the ice with an auger. There, he used a battery encasement to make a handcuff key, and, in August 2010, cut his wrists. Ogle was transferred to a detention facility in Georgia. Marshals Service discovered ? and foiled ? that plot. In September 2009 while at the Blount County Detention Center, Ogle concocted a plan to have an outsider slip a blade through a hole in the wall created by his brother and use it to "create some kind of a hostage-taking situation," the transcript stated. Attorney Tracy Stone detailed his plans in court records. They were caught in short order, though, and, just as quickly, Ogle began plotting escape. The trio later carjacked a good Samaritan who stopped to help them when their getaway vehicle broke down. Ogle leaped over a counter and took control of the bank, ordering people to the floor. The Sevier County man wound up behind bars after he, his brother and a pal stormed inside the bank with shotguns. That sentence will top a prison term of 20 years and five months he was ordered to serve in the bank robbery and comes after Ogle opted to represent himself and launched a bid to show he was mentally incompetent. District Judge Pamela Reeves on Wednesday sentenced Michael Ogle, 35, to serve another 30 months in federal prison for his attempts to escape custody while awaiting his fate in a takeover robbery of a BB&T branch in Seymour in August 2008. The ringleader of a rare takeover bank robbery who tried and failed ? three times ? to break out of jail could not escape an extra prison term despite his final push to claim he was mentally incompetent. 2/5/2024 0 Comments Angels rest fire![]() There are a couple of new places in Angel Fire with much better service and better food. It's not that we minded paying the higher prices, but the deceptive practice of providing a menu and charging prices higher than those shown on the menu is a place that won't get our business. We were also charged more than the listed menu price for the 3 Enchilada dinner and for the BBQ Burger. and then we were charged more than the prices shown on the menu! For example, the menu showed $13.99 for Chicken Fried Steak but we were charged $17.99. This year the service was a little better and the food was okay as usual. The food has always been good but not great and the service has always been somewhat lackluster. For a while this was almost the only place in town for a reasonably priced meal that's more than a burger or pizza. We have come to Angel Fire on vacation for years and usually eat at Zeb's. My husband ordered bbq.(he should have known better) what he revived was mystery meat covered in bbq sauce from a crock pot. I ordered CFS, I was served a mystery meat patty covered in packet gravy. Everything out of the bag and into a deep fryer. I remember 3rd grade cafeteria food being more palatable than the slop served. 20 minutes later we placed our food order( I asked what the veg of the day was and you would have thought I insulted her) 10 minutes later the food arrived, wrong sides given. Still smiling… when she returned I asked if my husband could order a drink, she then made a face and huffed off. When asked we could place our drink order, she rolled her eyes, huffed, actually huffed, then took my drink order but not my husbands. She asked if we had decided what we would like to. When seated it took 15 minutes for her to arrive. Our waitress was quite possibly the worst server I’ve ever encountered. All restaurants are short staffed therefore, we dine with Grace. Along the ridge there is a trail that heads Southeast that eventually goes back to Wahkeena Falls, which would make a very nice loop if you have two vehicles. The actual end of the trail is out on a ridge that you can access through brush, but the view is obstructed. The day I visited was very cloudy, and visibility was low. The views are spectacular on clear days in both East and West directions. Here is what the ridge looks like from the North end. Toward the end there are several switchbacks until one final turn to the North, where the ridge comes into view. There are other rocks that get quite green and mossy. This results in some interesting looking trees. The trail is exposed because of a forest fire, and can get quite windy. There are several rocky steps along the way. About half-way up you will be able to see your destination, an outcropping of rocks. The trail climbs steadily pretty much until the very end, but remember to stop along the way and take a look at the Gorge view. About a half mile in, stop and take a look at the falls of Coopey creek, even though the view is somewhat obstructed, because once you cross the bridge, this is the last waterfall you'll see. This trail is typical of all others in the area, with beautiful trees and ground cover along the way. After parking, head over to the trailhead, and the sign provides the mileage. There is a small stream and waterfall along the way, but this trip is about the elevation gain and the nice view of the Columbia Gorge. This trail is a nice alternative to large crowds seeking waterfalls. |
